New Partner Onboarding

Soon after the Paramount Acquisitions team make a deal, our Business Operations team will organize a meeting to:

Introduce and get to know the teams involved, and agree how we communicate.
Explain the content submission process, requirements and timeline.
Introduce Paramount’s online submission platforms and set up accounts.
Come to a common understanding of the delivery scope, and work out ambiguities with the dealmakers.

The scope of the kickoff meeting may vary depending on:

Whether you are a new partner or we have an established relationship.
How similar the delivery is to previous ones.
The amount of change in terms of teams, technology or process since we last exchanged content, on either side.

Within Paramount, several groups are involved in the acquisitions and content receipt process:

Acquisitions Manager → Dealmaking
Business Operations → Primary business contact during the submission process
Media Supply Chain Teams:
- GMC Onboarding → Onboarding into Paramount’s Media Supply Chain, support in terms of technical specification, content registration, Media Ingest Portal set up and upload shell assignment
- MIG Tech Onboarding → technical guidance and troubleshooting
- GMC Readiness → QC and post delivery coordination

Media Ingest Portal for file upload.
Submission of descriptive metadata via Descriptive Metadata Form.
